DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Under Hamro Palo’s flagship Education and Empowerment programs “Her Turn” began in 2012. By the end of February 2020, 6720 adolescent girls have graduated from Her Turn workshop. Her Turns workshop is for adolescent girls, aged 12-16. The program consists of a four-week-long workshop that covers key issues in health (such as sanitation, nutrition, and menstrual hygiene management), safety (bullying, domestic violence, early marriage, human trafficking, and sexual harassment), and leadership skills development (confidence building, public speaking skills, and problem-solving). Over the years Hamro Palo has worked in the majority of the community schools in Sindhupalchowk district and many schools in the Gorkha district. Hamro Palo has piloted Her Turn workshop in Kavre and Jumla district and will be expanding the work in both districts in the coming years.

The impact analysis will be carried out in the school of three rural municipalities: Jugal, Tirpurasundari, and Lishankhupakhar of Sindhupalchowk district. Her Turn impact analysis will be done in 23 schools of Sindhupalchowk District. The activities include assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of the project by finding out changes in girls’ attitudes and behavior and access to information and change in families’ and communities’ attitudes, behavior, and access to information. The information will be collected by using various methods of research such as KII, FGD, and research questionnaires (qualitative and quantitative).

Time Duration: One-month Starting from 1st November

Job Purpose: An individual or group of researchers will participate in field data collection, analyze collected data, and will assist in producing a high-quality Impact analysis report of Her Turn Workshop.

Requirement:

• Sound knowledge and experience in collecting data, data analysis, and reporting.
• Generate information and assist in producing high-quality Impact analysis report of Her Turn workshop
• Assist in Evaluating the effectiveness of the project by finding out changes in girls’ attitudes and behavior and access to information and change in families’ and communities’ attitudes, behavior, and access to information.
• Experience of working in a team and being a team player
• Sound knowledge of handling and management of Information

Who Can Apply: Any individual or group of Researchers with past experience of conduction research and are willing to travel to remote villages within the rural municipality of Sindhupalchowk district can apply for the position. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field. Candidate should have sound knowledge of collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. should have good report writing skills as well as computer skills and is willing to follow the ethics of work.
